Head cannon: Mr. Fishoder is Bob’s uncle (Bob’s mom’s brother). That’s why he is generally ok with Bob always being late with rent, and always takes special interest in the kids because they remind him of Felix, Bob’s mom, and himself when they were kids. And it’s a way to stay close to his late sister.
